Did you know that there are a variety of opportunities for online training sponsored by the WKU Child Care Resource & Referral available to you on a monthly basis?


The staff from the CCR&R at WKU are excited to offer a variety of training sessions using this online forum.  On-line venues allow individuals to sign up for training that not only meets their technology needs, but also allows them to do the work from their program or home without having to travel.  Because on-line training is not tightly scheduled, you can also complete the training at a time most convenient for you!

Make Sure Your Training COUNTS!
The WKU Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) wants to help you and your staff make good decisions about training as well as helping you plan ahead.  The calendar link above provides you with dates, locations of training, and the target audience which is the specific group of participants for which the session has been designed. We hope that each of you will utilize this calendar to plan ahead for the upcoming training so that those training sessions your staff members attend will be beneficial to their specific needs and not just a matter of convenience.  Our training sessions are open to anyone interested in attending.  Participants from various types of programs, including public and private child care facilities, public school preschool programs, Head Start and Early Head Start programs, early childhood education college students and faculty, high school child development students and faculty, parents, individuals considering child care as a business, and many others are invited to attend.  Read the full article.

Early Childhood Credentials -Which one's for you?
Do you ever wonder what professional development opportunities are out there for early care and education professionals?  Are you looking for information that will focus on young children and will help you earn recognition for the efforts you put forth?  Do you want to work towards a goal?

If you answered yes to any of the questions, then you will be interested in learning more about the various possibilities in the early childhood field.  The field of early childhood continues to grow while more and more people become aware of the importance of educated caregivers for young children.
